Independent research has revealed that a large portion of avocado oils on supermarket shelves are either adulterated with cheaper oils or so oxidized that they’ve lost their nutritional value.

Consumers have been paying for the rich, healthy oil of the avocado—but often getting something entirely different.

We were proud to be part of the discussions and technical groups helping shape the official Codex Standard for Avocado Oil.
This standard sets clear definitions for what authentic avocado oil must be—covering its chemical composition, production process, and labeling requirements.

By helping define those standards, we’ve worked to ensure that consumers everywhere can trust what “avocado oil” really means.
